Just the thoughts of a dude, shared in hopes that they help others update their priors.
This is my digital garden, a collection of linked notes and longer posts I’ve been writing for myself and sharing in case any of it is useful to anyone else. The core idea behind all of it is writing to think. I update my priors by putting ideas down, and I share the process in case someone wants to do the same with theirs.
I’ve derived a lot of my own thinking from other people’s writing. If any of this does that for you, great. If not, that’s fine too.
Why the domain name? It’s a play on Bayesian inference, which is the lens I try to use when looking at the world. You have priors, new evidence updates them, and you should be honest about how much weight you’re putting on what.

New to the site? A few reasonable entry points:
- About me: who I am, what I do, and why this site exists
- Posts: longer, self-contained writing meant to land a specific point
- Notes: rougher thinking that may or may not grow into a post
- Reports: data-journalism style deep dives on things I think are important, often with interactive visualizations to let you explore the data yourself
- Future articles: things I want to write about eventually
The rest of the site
- Poetry: when prose isn’t the right container
- Scientific publications: peer-reviewed work from the computational chemistry days
- External work & press: articles I’ve written elsewhere and podcast appearances
- Future projects: things I’d love to see built but don’t have time to build myself
- Contact: how to reach me
- Disclosures: the formal “don’t take anything here as advice” page (thanks to Kevin Sekniqi for the template)
